Patrol Operations Division
The Patrol Operations Division (POD) is comprised of the largest amount of JPD officers. In this division, they are the front line of the department. An officer in this division is assigned to basic law enforcement duties such as:
This is an entry level division, and all sworn JPD officers that have graduated from the Cadet Program will automatically be assigned to POD.

- Responding to radio calls (missions).
- Monitoring suspicious activity.
- Responding to crimes in progress.
- Patrolling open businesses.
- Responding to the public’s questions.

Street Crime Unit
The Street Crime Unit (SCU) is an advanced division that is under the Office of Special Operations. This division is in charge of responding to public disorder or crowd control. Members of this division are trained to use less-than-lethal force and tactics. SCU's focus is minimizing injuries to the public while simultaneously de-escalating the situation. The SCU are often deployed for major gatherings, riots, or non-compliant individuals that are armed with less than lethal weapons. SCU officers may also be assigned to routine patrols alongside the POD.

SRU is a specialized tactical team that responds to high risk or potentially hazardous assignments. They provide counter-assault, rapid deployment and protective services. SRU also provides protection/escort details for government officials and VIPs. SRU's daily operations are to:

- Create tactical plans and train before deployment.
Office of the Chief of Staff:
Professional Standards Bureau
The Professional Standards Bureau is an independent Administrative and Operational division that oversees the accountability of the department's members. The PSB is in charge of investigating all complaints both internal and external. It is a small division that consists of a few senior officers or supervisors that are hand-picked by the Command Staffs. Due to sensitive nature of internal information, all PSB members are held to the highest mandate to keep all information confidential, unless they are appropriately authorized to announce anything to the public.

Human Resources is an Administrative division that keeps the department organized. From communications, to vehicle/uniform requests, HR’s primary responsibility is to keep each Trooper appropriately equipped. In addition, HR also helps sort and relay information to/from each division. Finally. HR is also in charge of updating websites, recruitment status, Discord maintenance, and keeping JPD updated.

Community Engagement Division
Community Engagement Division is a subdivision under the Human Resources Division. This division is in charge of public relations, media and to act as a liaison for the department. This division is the bridge between the department to both allied agencies as well as the public. The JPD is happy to provide mutual aid to allied agencies. Any events or functions that require JPD presences can be arranged with our liaison officers.
